Toppers Galore

Hi all , hope everyone is doing ok , been having a topper making session lately , using some dies that I have had for a while, and as I was making the toppers , a couple of them came in very useful when I was asked to make some cards for twins !!!!

This was one of the cards I made for twins , the other had 2 bunnies on.

I had fun making these and they will come in very useful as I have a few things to make ready for a 2 day Food and Craft fair next month.

Pretty As A Picture

Hi everyone, I seem to have got behind with my blogging again I'm afraid, but I shall try my best to catch up with you all this week.

Before I share my latest picture tutorial with you, I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has commented on my blog over the last few years especially on my Kanban samples. I have recently stepped down from the team , I was sad to do so , but as many of you who know me know that our home life can be extremely stressful at times, and also since I hurt my back last year , I can't sit for as long as I used to , which was making it hard to do samples in a short time frame. I wish the rest of the team and it's new DT members all the best.

Now onto a project I have made over the weekend using the Vintage Ephemera Collection from Craftwork Cards , I have made this using a box frame, die cuts and papers from the collection , some paper from the Potting Shed Collection and some ribbon.

Firstly I covered the back board of the frame with the book paper from the pad.
Then I took 3 pieces of card , each measuring 19.8cm x 5.8cm ,and covered them on both sides with papers from the Potting Shed .

Score at 1.5cm and 5 cm

 This creates the shelf.
Cover the front part of the shelf with ribbon. Use either a wet glue or strong double sided tape.
Sit the die cuts on the back of the frame so you can work out where to place the shelf.

Glue the shelf in place adding another below .

Before adding the die cuts to the shelves , decorate , I used glossy accents for the bottle labels , and liquid pearls on the flowers.

As you can see on the picture above I used stacked foam pads on the back of the bottles on another project , but for this one I am using some small pieces of card scored in half and glued to the back.
Once you are ready glue the tabs to the shelves.

For the 3rd shelf I just cut the larger flap off the piece of the card and the glued it to the bottom of the frame , this creates another shelf.
Thank you for taking the time to view this project , I will see you all again soon.
