Golden Christmas

Hi all on this very wet Thursday afternoon. Thought I would have a play today with some stamps I bought a while ago from Visible Image , at the time I bought the a Christmas stamp and a grunge flourish . The grunge flourish is great as it is very versatile and can be used for any occasion,  I have used it on a wedding card before and it gives it a very elegant look, here I have used it for a Christmas card.

For the card I took an 8x8 card blank and stamped the flourish straight onto the card and then embossed with gold embossing powder. ( I am now sparkling !!!!) . Then I stamped and embossed the Christmas stamp, which I then mounted onto some gold mirri card. Then just some ribbon and a flower embellishment to finish the card off.

I love this flourish stamp, it's great.
It was fun to have a bit of a play today, and I've decided I should experiment a bit more !!

Jungle fever !

Good afternoon , challenge #137 is now live over at Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog, and this weeks theme is " Babies or Children - Any Occasion" . This challenge has been kindly sponsored by  Di's Digi Downloads  , who have donated a $10 voucher for the prize this week.

Here's my card for the Design Team.

I made this card, by taking two small square cards and overlapping the back panel on both. Then I cut diagonally across on both card fronts. I then covered all the panels with different party papers. The front panel on the left has been glued at the bottom to create a pocket for the tag to sit in. I then decorated it with some stickers that I had . I then cut a piece of card, punched a hole in the top and added some ribbon, and then the monkey sticker and the sentiment. This created the tag that sits in the pocket. The lion is sitting on a punched out circle covered in party paper.

So that is my card for inspiration , but why not pop over to Kaboodle Doodles to check out what the rest of the Design Team have created, and join in the fun.

Look forward to seeing every ones makes,
Happy crafting xx

Flowers and notes

Hi all, Monday sure comes around quick these day's. My weekend hasn't been great, my son had a meltdown over the weekend, from the stress of being back at school, but we coped and I even managed to get my Design Team cards for Kanban done !!! So here they are.

This 1st card has been made using a Kanban shaped card, the Butterfly Meadow sheet and some flower embellishments.

I love this sentiment, it's great.

For my 2nd project I have made a set of four notelets. For these I used four Kanban Card Blanks, the Regal Ladies topper sheet, the Baroque Cameos , some Bling GEM3mm and some small butterflies from The Classic Textile Collection- Tudor MIR9878.

I haven't gone over fancy with them, just kept them nice and simple , and I have added the sentiments on the inside of the notelet.

Little houses

Hi all, I'm slowly getting there with catching up on all your fab blogs. I've been quite busy lately with making things, I've done a load of Christmas cards and also general cards, but also found the time to decorate these 30cm high houses ready for when I have any craft stalls.
They have both been decorated with papers from Stampin' Up, that I've had for a while. It was just a case of measuring each little cubby hole and cutting the papers to size, and then lots of varnish !!!

I love them, my daughter has one that has not been decorated yet, but she uses as a house for her " Moshi Monsters".

Flower Power

Good afternoon all, for my second post of the day. For challenge #136 over at  KaboodleDoodles   this week the theme is "Flowers".  This challenge has been kindly sponsored by Meljens , and the winner can choose four images from the sponsor.

Here is my DT card for this weeks challenge.

I decided to go with just a subtle background, made as a gatefold card and then adding the topper to the centre. I'm not a flowery person myself , so if I make flower cards I like to keep them simple.

Anyway why not head over to the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the design team have been up to and why not join in the fun.

Remember the winner receives four images from our sponsor.

I look forward to seeing some of your creations xx

Good morning/afternoon everyone,  well that's the kids back in school now and of course the weather has turned nice again !!! I've been catching up on jobs and sleep so am a bit late this week with my Kanban DT cards. I've spent this morning replanting our strawberry plants and putting the raspberry plant in a larger pot, it's so sunny it was a shame to come back in the house, but now I'm in I thought I would do my blog post and then catch up on everyones blogs.

I've gone for a butterfly theme this week, think I must be inspired by our new plant that we have that the butterflies just love.

This card has been made using a Kanban shaped card blank, Carte Postale-Paris papercraft topper sheet PCT1953, Victoriana Lace Butterflies sheet PCT1891, some gems and ribbon.

This 2nd card has been made using a Kanban Shaped card blank, Roses and Calligraphy background card CRD1517, Gold Mirri,
Ribbon, Beautiful Birds papercraft topper sheet PCT1955, a flower embellishment and some Kanban Butterflies.

Right that's me off to visit all the blogs, so I may be gone some time.

Sound of music

Hi all for my second post of the day, this post is for the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog for challenge #135 which has been kindly sponsored by The Stamping Boutique  . The subject for this challenge is "Music, Dance or any of the Arts".

Here is my card for the design team.

I went with the music element of the challenge, and used the above stamp to create a card for a male recipient. I coloured the stamped image but it could also work quite well as just an uncoloured image if used with sepia tones.

So why not pop over to the blog and see what the rest of the design team have been up to, and while there why not enter in the fun, if picked as the winner there are 3 images available as the prize kindly donated by our sponsor.

Back to school

It's time for challenge #8 over at Emma's Cards UK , and this month's challenge which has been kindly sponsored by Indigoblu is Back to School.
My two go back to school on Tuesday and I'm not looking forward to all the rushing around again, but I think they are probably ready to go back after a long few weeks off !!
Anyway here is my card for the design team, which hopefully will give you a bit of inspiration, but if you want to see more why not pop over to the blog and have a look at what the rest of the design team have been creating.

I have used a stamp from the Crafters Companion range of Popcorn the Bear kids, this stamp was ideal as Popcorn is there ready for his day at school. For the background I just layered some patterned paper and some black card, before adding the topper, which had been mounted onto patterned paper and gold mirri, and then added some ribbon. To make it more fun, I used a white gell pen and did some faux stitching round the edge of the black card, and then wrote some little bits, as if it was a blackboard.

So why not pop over to the blog Emma's Cards UK and have a peek and also see what the prize may be.
